
At Springbank of Plainfield, we are proud to be located within an incredible village. Residents have access to valuable community services and resources, including an amazing public library. The Plainfield Public Library houses over 70,000 volumes, and they host programs and events for all ages. And the best news for residents of Springbank of Plainfield—it’s only a few minutes away!
More than 60,000 people attended library programs in the past year—so much that they are looking to possibly expand their space in the future. The library is very active, and for a great reason—they offer fun and helpful programs and events all year long. Events include:
Clubs. Social gatherings like book clubs and knitting clubs.
Classes. For example, upcoming classes include technology training, self defense for seniors, and a creative writing class.
Entertainment. Throughout the year, the library offers book signings by various authors and fun shows, like an upcoming bubble show.
Kids classes and events. From baby to teen, your kids won’t ever be bored! The library offers baby and me classes and toddler classes; bands, musical artists, and plays and musicals; and parties like pajama and disco parties, character and book-themed parties, and more.
Teen classes and events. Teenagers can participate in art classes (recent classes include abstract art, henna hand art, and how to draw Pokemo), participate in a musical, hear from young adult fiction authors, and join in a Nintendo Club.
Resources for kids and adults. The library offers assistance with tutoring for students, as well as job seeking help for adults.
In addition, the library offers books, ebooks, audiobooks, DVDs, and Blu-rays. It is great to have access to the Plainfield Public Library!
